Hi, my name Rhydian Davies and I run Cottage Oak, based in the Towy valley in Carmarthenshire, West Wales.
I have 15 years’ experience in the trade and been working with wood since I left school at the age of 16. I received an apprenticeship and went to Ammanford college for 3 years to do my carpentry and joinery qualifications NVQ level 3.
In 2005 I started my own business and began to work more and more with oak. Oak has become a passion of mine , as it is such a beautiful and versatile timber. After a growing interest and demand to supply oak frames and flooring I decided to start up a new business called “Cottage Oak” specialising in oak flooring and framing.
